Wang Yi expressed that he welcomes Mr. Foreign Minister to visit China on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The friendship between China and Tanzania was personally cultivated and created by the older generation leaders of the two countries. “A long journey will reveal the power of a horse, but time will reveal a person’s heart.” China-Tanzania friendship has laid a solid foundation. Last month, President Xi Jinping and President Hassan exchanged congratulatory messages on the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Tanzania, and spoke highly of the development process and brilliant achievements of bilateral relations. “If you want to see a thousand miles further, you must reach a higher level.” The leaders of the two countries have jointly drawn a new blueprint for the next development of China-Tanzania relations and pointed out the direction of efforts. Over the past 60 years, China-Tanzania relations have always been at the forefront of China-Africa relations, setting an example for developing countries to unite, help each other, and strengthen themselves through unity. Wang Yi said that China appreciates Tanzania's long-term valuable support on issues related to China's core interests, and is willing to continue to firmly support Tanzania in safeguarding sovereignty, security, and development interests, supports Tanzania in independently exploring a development path that is in line with its national conditions, and supports Tanzania in China opposes interference from external forces. China is willing to continue close high-level exchanges with Tanzania, continuously enhance mutual understanding and exchange of experience in state governance, and jointly expand the global influence of the "Dar es Salaam Consensus between China and Africa" ​​to promote South-South cooperation and safeguard the common interests of the "Global South" make greater contributions to interests. The two sides should expand cooperation in key areas such as trade and infrastructure, and tap the potential for cooperation in processing and manufacturing, digital economy, blue economy, new energy and other fields. Take the "China-Tanzania Tourism and Culture Year" as an opportunity to further deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in the field of people-to-people and cultural exchanges, so that the two peoples will become closer and closer.

Wang Yi said that China has always regarded the development of solidarity and cooperation with African countries as an important cornerstone of its foreign policy. The Forum on China-Africa Cooperation is the most important platform and mechanism to strengthen unity and cooperation between China and Africa. In the 24 years since the forum was established, China-Africa trade volume has increased more than 20 times, and China's investment in Africa has increased more than 100 times. The results of China-Africa cooperation are obvious to all and have been highly praised by the African people and the international community. The Forum on China-Africa Cooperation has become the "golden brand" of China-Africa cooperation and a banner leading international cooperation with Africa. The new Forum on China-Africa Cooperation summit will be held in Beijing this autumn. Makamba said that Tanzania and China have profound traditional friendship. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations 60 years ago, the two countries have always trusted and supported each other. Tanzania will continue to unswervingly support China on issues involving China's core interests and major concerns. Tanzania highly appreciates and firmly supports the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind proposed by President Xi Jinping, the "Belt and Road" initiative and the three major global initiatives. At the China-Africa Think Tank Forum held in Tanzania recently, scholars from more than 50 African countries and their Chinese counterparts proposed the "Dar es Salaam Consensus". Tanzania hopes that the international community will listen to Africa's voice and support Africa's development.
